Inquiry-based teaching and learning is an approach where students take the lead in exploring academic content by inquiring, researching, collaborating, presenting and reflecting upon their interest and learning. This approach puts students' questions at the center of the curriculum, and places just as much value on the component skills of research as it does on  the construction of knowledge and comprehension of content.
